Oil paintings on board and canvas

The versatility of oil paint provides a way for Holden to work out an idea. Paint is applied either to a board or a canvas, in sizes ranging from 8" x 10" to 36" x 60".

Works on paper

Watercolor is Holden's favorite medium when she is traveling. Also, she usually works out her ideas via watercolor before beginning an oil painting.

About the artist

Holden has been painting for the past 40 years. She has studied at the Art Students League of New York, and the Rhode Island School of Design, and graduated with a BA from Connecticut College.
